Are CNN, MSNBC and NYT covering up Wendell Pierce’s assault of Sanders Supporters?

Over the weekend actor Wendell Pierce was arrested for assaulting two Bernie Sanders supporters, including one female. TMZ broke the story that actor Pierce was arrested and booked for battery after arguing about politics with a couple that have thrown their support behind the Vermont Senator.

Pierce has been vocal on social media about how he feels about Bernie Sanders and the people that want to see him as President.

His arrest is a trending topic on Facebook right now and has been since the news broke early Sunday morning but you get a completely different story from some mainstream media sources than you will from others. CNN doesn’t mention that the altercation was politically charged. NBC reports it in similar fashion to CNN as does the New York Times, while MSNBC skips the story completely.

CNN makes no mention of Sanders

Actor Wendell Pierce was arrested in Atlanta over the weekend, police said.

Pierce, best known for his role as Detective William “Bunk” Moreland on the hit HBO series “The Wire,” was arrested in Atlanta early Saturday morning, Atlanta Police Department spokesman Donald Hannah said.
Pierce was arrested at the Loews Atlanta Hotel, where he had been staying as a guest. Hannah said the actor didn’t give any indication he was famous and the incident was treated like any other arrest.
According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office website, Pierce was charged with simple battery. He was booked and released on Saturday. His bond was set at $1,000.
Pierce has also worked as a director and has been featured in a number of other film and TV projects, including “Selma” and “Suits.”
In April, it was announced that he was investing in a $20 million apartment complex in Baltimore, the city which was the setting for “The Wire.”

NBC makes no mention Sanders either

The altercation, which took place in a bar in the Loews Hotel in Atlanta, reportedly arose from a conversation about politics. A quick Google search will bring back hundreds of articles about the arrest. Most sources mention Sanders in the article – but not CNN, NBC or New York Times. If you need more proof that there is a concerted effort on the part of the mainstream media to not help Sanders in any way, this is it.
