The Center for Responsive Politics reported earlier that Clinton has received over $150,000 from oil and gas representatives during the her run for the presidency. That total does not include money that The Clinton Foundation has received over the years, this is just the total for this election cycle.
Months ago Clinton claimed she was unaware she received campaign contributions from the oil industry but she said she’d check on that. Apparently she hasn’t actually checked on that yet so she better add that to the “I’ll look into it” to-do list that includes looking into releasing the transcripts of speeches she’s given to Wall Street. One thing is clear though and we don’t need her to “look into it” to find the answer, some of her biggest campaign bundlers are oil industry lobbyists, which include lobbyists for Chevron.
In the video below from Greenpeace, it’s clear that the pressure Sanders has been applying to her campaign is getting to her. The old Clinton methods of just saying anything they have to, true or not, just aren’t working anymore, fact checking is just way too easy in the year 2016. That tone though.
