Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) does not support Bernie Sanders. She does support Hillary Clinton. Ms. Feinstein has gradually become a status quo politician, no longer fighting for change, but simply trying to defend the current system from the Republican’s slash and burn policy regarding all things run by the government. She no longer wants, or fights for, progressive change. She has reached a point in her life where she simply wants things to be comfortable and consistent. And for her, they generally are. As a senator, she did not suffer through the recession, as so many Americans did. Her $174,000 income was secure, and she had no problems with her health benefits.
Her support of Hillary Clinton is actually somewhat bizarre. They certainly seem to have different visions of how the government should function. Sen. Dianne Feinstein wants tax reform, putting children ahead of millionaires and billionaires by restoring the pre-2001 top income tax rate for people earning over $1 million. She wants to use this revenue to invest in Head Start; Child Care; school construction, nutrition; and deficit reduction. Hillary Clinton does not want to tax the rich, meaning those projects will not receive funding. That’s where it gets weird.
Has Dianne Feinstein started living in the past, with no real vision or understanding of the future? The bills she has recently sponsored are… bureaucratic, boring, and tedious. She seems to have no understanding of the Bern Revolution. She has stated Bernie Sanders should simply give up and stop harassing her friend, Hillary. This would allow Hillary Clinton to create the illusion Bernie Sanders’ revolution is all but over, and things can start getting back to normal.
Both Dianne Feinstein and Hillary Clinton definitely lack an understanding of the revolution. They seem to believe it will simply fade away, if they can just get rid of Bernie Sanders. They don’t understand it is the people who are supporting this revolution. Bernie is our current leader, but if something happened to him, we’d find someone else. The time is right, the time is now. They don’t understand we, the people, are no longer willing to sacrifice our lives, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for a sliver of the population that has been overcharging us, and ripping us off whenever possible, for the last 3 decades.
Senator Feinstein has suggested the nation would be “better off” if Bernie Sanders worked to bridge the party’s divides ahead of the general election. Feinstein doesn’t seem to realize Hillary Clinton, and her buddies in the DNC, are responsible for tearing the Democratic Party apart with their support-the-rich philosophies. Clinton, with Feinstein’s (perhaps unwitting) help, is altering the Democratic Party to support 3rd Way philosophies. (These new philosophies boils down to: Don’t tax the rich, and support liberal causes that don’t cost anything.)
