Chants of “Debbie is done!” and “Debbie resigned!” could be heard at a Sanders rally in Philadelphia after the news was announced. In emergency mode, Democratic elites decided Saturday that Ms. Wasserman Schultz would not have a major speaking role, or preside over convention proceedings. They then named Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, , who campaigned for Hillary Clinton in the primary, permanent chair of the convention, according to a DNC source. Rep. Fudge will open and close the various sessions at the convention.
The Florida congresswoman’s resignation came after the release of thousands of leaked emails showing DNC staffers favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders and plotting against him. Her announcement of leaving had pro-Sanders supporters cheering during a demonstration about the rigged primaries in Philadelphia. Wasserman Schultz spoke with both President Barack Obama and Clinton before making her announcement.
Curiously, the news media completely ignored Hillary Clintons role in the deception and collusion. Did Debbie Wasserman Schultz arrange for illegal and unethical collusion without the knowledge of Hillary Clinton? Did she go behind Hillary Clinton’s back? To suggest Hillary Clinton has no knowledge of the collusion is absurd.
And where is the FEC? No where in sight. It is as though the organization doesn’t exist. Politicians are sitting on this committee, and getting paid for doing nothing.
In a truly bizarre effort to deflect any responsibility, Clintons reps have suggested Russia and Putin were responsible for the leak. Russia may be the source of the hacking and leaks, but all they did was expose criminal and unethical behavior. Did they help or hurt America, which claims to support concepts like transparency and honesty.
Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton suggest you should vote with your heart.Consider the sources of this advice. Wouldn’t it be better to use your mind in making decisions in a Democracy?
While Rep. Fudge will act as permanent chair of the convention, DNC Vice Chair Donna Brazile will act as interim chair through the election. Brazile had been a CNN political commentator, but CNN and Brazile have mutually agreed to suspend their contract, effective immediately (though she will remain on the air during the convention week in an unpaid capacity. CNN will revisit the contract once Brazile concludes her role. (Does this sound a little suspicious regarding media collusion in this election?)
Good Morning America just said Wasserman Schultz “will be” speaking at the convention (at 8:03 AM).
