Oprah made it clear last October she’s not running but America just doesn’t listen

Last night during a moving and powerful speech at the Golden Globe Awards, Oprah fans and supporters threw her hat in the ring for a 2020 run for the presidency of the United States. Even her longtime partner Stedman Graham told a Los Angeles Times reporter “she would totally do it.”

Social media was and still is buzzing about her run. In fact without so much as one piece of information about a political platform, scores of people instantly cast hypothetical ballots in what will likely be a hotly contested race to get Trump out of the White House. If elected would she keep up the nonstop parade of bombs that both Obama and Trump have dropped on innocent civilians all over the world? Many people remember her using her popular TV show to help sell the Iraq war, although she did come out against it after the war started but by then it was too late.

This morning CNN popped out a story citing some of her friends that say she is considering a run for office but Oprah herself shot the idea down in October of 2017 when pressed by her her best friend Gayle King on “CBS This Morning.”

Watch the video below, where she addresses the issue in the last few minutes saying there won’t be any running for office in her future. Guess we’ll see, won’t we.

The next presidential campaign is a long way off and we have much work to do between now and then, so let’s try to focus.
