The campaign of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has formally requested a recanvassing of the vote totals tallied from electronic voting machines and absentee ballots from all 120 counties in Kentucky.
Alison Grimes, the Secretary of State of Kentucky and outspoken Clinton supporter, verified the recanvass request through a series of tweets.

While the recanvass is not like to have a drastic effect on the final results from a delegate standpoint, Sanders could add Kentucky to his list of 20 contents won and that could help him when he deals with the superdelegates at the Democratic National Convention. Clinton of course unofficially proclaimed victory even though AP said the race was too close to call and the candidates split the delegates evenly.
