U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Wednesday will travel to Chicago. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will meet with supporters and discuss issues of concern to the citizens of Chicago, including criminal justice reform.

Here is the itinerary:

Wednesday, December 23
3:30 p.m. Community Gathering hosted by Commissioner Chuy Garcia, El Pollo Felíz, 3132 W. 26th St, Chicago
Information for the public: This event is invitation only.

Bernie Sanders has been extremely vocal about the subject of police brutality and criminal justice reform. Back in late November. Sanders  said in statement regarding the death of  Laquan McDonald, “All Americans should be sickened by the video of Laquan McDonald’s murder. As a nation we must do more than just echo the phrase Black Lives Matter,”

“Criminal justice reform must be the civil rights issue of the 21st century and the first piece must be putting an end to the killing of African Americans by police officers,” he added.
